Colony Display,LLC is an industry leader in the design, engineering, and manufacturing of custom visual merchandising solutions and displays. Our team is growing, and we have an opening for a Tile Setter to serve and support our Field Services division located in Batavia, IL. This role is responsible for tiling kitchen and bath displays based on our customer’s requirements and specifications.
Responsibilities:
· Measure and cut tiles to fit specific areas
· Prepare surfaces for tile installation by cleaning and leveling them
· Lay tiles in a precise and aesthetically pleasing manner
· Apply adhesives, grout, and sealants to ensure tiles are securely in place
· Repair or replace damaged tiles as needed
· Collaborate with clients or designers to determine tile patterns and designs
· Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work area

Qualifications:
· Proficient in tile laying techniques and practices
· Knowledge of the restoration industry and experience with water damage restoration
· Experience in flooring installation, including carpet, vinyl, and hardwood
· Familiarity with hand tools used in tile setting, such as trowels, levels, and tile cutters
· Ability to read and interpret schematics or blueprints for accurate tile placement
· Strong attention to detail to ensure precise measurements and alignment
· Experience with cabinet installation is a plus
· Knowledge of caulking techniques for sealing gaps between tiles
· General maintenance person skills for minor repairs or adjustments
· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
