Hard Tile Setter covers tabletops or other surfaces with mosaic tile squares to form decorative design. May require a high school diploma or its equivalent. Being a Hard Tile Setter may have to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty with 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Additionally, Hard Tile Setter relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Installing wall board for tile, grouting, floor prep, cutting tile, mixing mortar, and some deliveries.
Must have some general construction knowledge and experience. Must be able to read a tape measure and use hand tools and power tools.
Must have a valid drivers license, transportation, and must be reliable.
