Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Tile Setter to join our team. As a Tile Setter, you will be responsible for installing and repairing various types of tile in residential and commercial settings. This is a hands-on role that requires attention to detail and precision.
Duties:
- Measure and mark surfaces to be tiled
- Cut, shape, and install tiles using power tools and hand tools
- Prepare surfaces by removing old tiles, grout, or adhesive
- Use epoxy adhesive and epoxy grout
- Align and straighten tiles using levels, squares, and straightedges
- Apply grout between tiles and remove excess grout
- Collaborate with clients or contractors to ensure project specifications are met
Skills:
- Proficiency in using power tools, such as tile saws and grinders
- Ability to read and interpret schematics or blueprints for tile layout
- Familiarity with a variety of hand tools used in tile setting
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
