The primary responsibilities of the Assistant Store Manager are to maintain amazing customer service, generate sales, maintain store presentation and to train and motivate the staff.
Job Duties:
• Provide superior customer service at all times
• Set a positive example by following company procedures and positive communication
• Oversee all aspects of the daily operation of the store
• Proficiency in all store technology
• Resolve customer and employee complaints in a timely and satisfactory manner, set to situation and company standards
• Ability to motivate, delegate and lead all other associates for maximum performance
• Assist in store goal setting
• Train, coach and observe associates
• Make sure that the sales floor (including garden center) is clean, organized and properly signed
• Make sure all merchandising is up to store standards
• Oversee all Shipping/receiving procedures and warehouse area
• Oversee all services within the store
• Lead associate team to accomplish store goals
• Enforces safety policies and procedures; is a safety role model
• Be able to open/close store as per store procedures
• Ability to perform all job functions of a sales associate, cashier, team leader
2-5 yrs Retail experience
2-5 yrs Management experience of 10 employees
Strong leadership, communication and time management skills
A commitment to service, excellence and customer satisfaction
Ability and willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays
Ability to handle multiple projects and task with a high attention to detail
