This position involves being outside in all weather conditions, lifting and carrying up to 60 pounds of product and other materials as needed, and frequently requires squatting and bending.
As a new employee, you will complete a 24-hour MSHA Part-48 training course with one of our instructors, be given Hazmat training, and a road test. You will often complete a 10-hour OSHA course and be trained on various State requirements. We want you to know what you are doing.
Your normal day will start off by completing a pre-trip, loading your truck with product, and completing required paperwork. You will then drive to the location which is often construction like terrain. Once on the site you will operate the truck to auger product into the holes and help as needed with other labor tasks.
Remember, safety is always a priority whether you are driving or assisting the Blaster in Charge with site preparation and equipment setup. You should report equipment or mechanical failures immediately to the Blaster in Charge. After the shot is fired, you will return to the main facility, conduct a post trip inspection of your equipment, complete paperwork and prepare your truck for the next day’s operations.
