    Key Responsibilities:


    • Design and develop industrial automation hardware schematics that meet customer requirements.
    • Develop hardware schematics, layouts, and bill of materials.
    • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of hardware, software & handover to production.
    • Develop and execute hardware document to ensure quality gates before production release.
    • Troubleshoot and debug hardware issues during development and production phases together with panel shop.
    • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in industrial automation hardware technology and incorporate new features and technologies into our solutions.
    • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
    • Develop and lead the optimization of the hardware design process introducing new tools and methodology for engineering.



    Qualifications

    • Detailed knowledge of industrial control systems, motor control, and field instrumentation.
    • Design industrial hardware CAD tools to UL508A requirements.
    • Design experience using EPLAN is an advantage.
    • Working knowledge of Ethernet/IP industrial communication protocol.
    • Experience with Modbus TCP, Modbus Serial, Profibus, Profinet, ControlNet, and DeviceNet also beneficial.
    • Time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
    • Proven communication, organizational, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
    • Possess a valid driver’s license.
    • S. Citizen or have legal right to work in the USA without sponsorship.
    • Pass a criminal background check and drug test.
    • Work occasional start-ups which may include extended working hours.
    • Travel up to 10% of the time. Most start-ups are local or regional travel and are typically 2 weeks or less in duration.
    • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science, or equivalent education/experience.
    • 2-5 years’ experience designing industrial control panels and associated networking.
    • Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license that represents a history of safe & competent driving.


    Physical Requirements

    • Must be able to sit, stand, kneel, stoop, walk, and sit for long periods of time.
    • Must be physically capable of lifting and carrying up to 20 lbs.
    • Must be able to climb ladders on equipment mezzanines.
    • Must be able to climb stairs over 100 feet.
    • Must be able to periodically work in a noisy and dirty environment.
