The Director of Controller Engineering will build and lead a team across multiple global design centers which owns of the entire portfolio of building controllers globally. This team is responsible for the development and sustaining of global platforms, differentiated variants built on the platform, as well as legacy controllers.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage a group of the world's most talented engineers across multiple design centers around the world.
Provide and develop expertise to facilitate the success of controller engineering including hardware and embedded firmware development and validation.
Use your experience and creative thinking to generate innovative solutions which provide differentiated value to our customers
Develop technical requirements from Offering Manager’s product requirements in Collaboration with System Engineering
Full ownership of the design of new controllers. Perform feasibility studies of key new technologies and frameworks, guide the team on hardware and firmware design, coding, testing, and product release.
Full ownership of the ongoing sustaining of current controller products by continually maintaining and improving quality, cyber security, cost, and material producibility.
Understand the end application of building controllers, their functions, and operational concepts.Interpret high level design specifications and develop time and resource estimates for hardware and firmware development.
Represent the controller development team with the cross-functional leadership team.
Develop a plan for people technical and nontechnical skill development
