The Hinckley Company, known for building and servicing, strong, seaworthy and beautiful yachts is seeking a Deck Hardware Installer for our production facility in Trenton, Maine.
The Deck Hardware Installer installs prefabricated parts such as hatches, marine hardware, metal trim, seats and other parts to design specification using power and hand-tools. Work is completed under close supervision of a team leader or manager.
Essential Duties
1. Install marine deck hardware and other parts from prefabricated kits and/or custom specification.
2. Develops the ability to read and layout blueprints and design specifications.
3. Locate position of hardware according to specifications, using rule, template or other device.
4. Cut or grind mounting bases or brackets, using portable electric saws and grinders and screws them in place.
5. Drill holes and bolts hardware, hatches, and other parts in place.
6. Apply caulking compound under spray rails, windshields, and around windows, using appropriate material to specified lengths and cements, crimps, screws or taps into place.
7. Follow defined instructions and procedures in performance of tasks.
8. Follow prescribed safety rules and regulations and maintain safe, clean work area.
9. All work to be performed and manufactured to Hinckley Company quality standards.
10. Perform other related duties as necessary and assigned.
