I'm currently hiring for Firmware Engineer opportunity in the Dallas, TX area.
An industrial product manufacturer in the Dallas area is seeking an Electrical Engineer with Firmware experience to join their team. This position will be about 50% electrical low level board development, and 50% firmware development for an embedded product. These are small scale battery operated devices. They will support a gated development process for new products and modified products, mainly level sensors within the propane and refrigerant space. These products will have a wireless component ranging from blue tooth, apps etc. Design new products (end items and components) in accordance with project plans and schedules. Many will have an LED/LCD screen component that will provide updates and collect data which will then be sent to the cloud.
2. Develop and maintain design requirement specifications, test plans, control plans and technical data sheets for new products.
3. Generate PCBs as required for new applications.
4. Develop firmware for products.
5. Compile parts lists, order components, build and test prototype PCB assemblies.
6. Perform analysis, simulations and testing of electronic systems and prepare corrective actions as needed.
7. Provide technical specifications and drawings for procuring PCB assemblies for new products.
8. Interface with Customers and participate in system and field testing of electronic products.
9. Lead cross functional teams to optimize new designs to meet quality, cost and schedule requirements driven by specific Customer requirements or market needs.
10. Modify plans and designs as required to meet Customer requirements.
11. Complete design verifications and validations of new designs.
12. Write test reports as required to document verification and validation activities.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:Requirements:
- B.S. or above in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline. M.S preferred.
- direct experience in electronics design/testing and firmware development.
- Strong knowledge of test equipment and its operation for analog/digital circuits.
- Proficient in PCB development including layout skills.
- Proficient in embedded programming using C.
- Good reading/writing/verbal skills.
- Familiar with DMM/Oscilloscope/Signal Generators/Power Supplies, and any other equipment required to complete
