As the Hardware Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of our hardware department. Your primary responsibility will be to lead a team of hardware associates, ensuring they deliver outstanding customer service while maintaining the highest standards of product knowledge. You will also be responsible for managing inventory, merchandising, and assisting customers with their hardware-related inquiries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and lead the hardware department team, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure their success and growth within the company.
- Supervise inventory management, including ordering, receiving, and stock control to ensure optimal product availability.
- Implement effective merchandising strategies to create attractive and organized displays, driving customer engagement and sales.
- Demonstrate exceptional product knowledge, offering expert advice and assistance to customers with their hardware needs.
- Foster a positive and customer-centric environment that encourages repeat business and enhances customer loyalty.
- Collaborate with other department managers to ensure seamless operations and a cohesive shopping experience for customers.
- Monitor and analyze sales data, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement to drive departmental success.

Qualifications and Requirements:
- Proven experience in the hardware industry, preferably with previous supervisory or managerial responsibilities.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to interact effectively with customers, colleagues, and vendors.
- In-depth knowledge of hardware products, including tools, plumbing, electrical, paint, and building materials.

- Proficient in computer skills, including point-of-sale systems and inventory management software.
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and extended hours, as needed.
