Description & Duties: 

• Manage store operations, personnel and scheduling
• Prepare weekly schedule and submit to management week before
• Responsible for ensuring the opening and closing checklist is followed by associates
• Provide accurate and routine updates to management on store operations
• Lead store culture and accountability standards
• Arrive early
• Set the tone for associate conduct and attitude to ensure positive moral
• Great customer service must be provided by all associates
• Responsible for security to ensure associate safety and that items are caged or anchored to prevent theft
• Responsible for training and development of associates
• Identify high potential staff for growth opportunities
• Maintain accurate records of sales
• Become the lead person for the POS system within the store
• Responsible for cash drawer and nightly deposits
• Be efficient in all duties of the business to include product knowledge, paint mixing, key cutting, etc.
• Monitor and maintain accurate records of inventory
• Maintain proper inventory levels in conjunction with RCS leadership
• Identify staple items
• Reduce and eliminate items creating clutter via discounts and donations
• Ensure cleanliness of store to include floors, shelves, products, etc.
• Organize products and shelves – right location, right labeling, right pricing
• Must keep up with pricing updates
• Plan and prepare for seasonal items
• Order items well in advance
• Must be displayed at proper time and location
• Must be put on sale at end of season to reduce inventory
• Identifies areas of improvement and loss
• Plan and schedule promotional end cap changes
• Plan promotional sales, fliers and ads for newspaper and social media
• Direct associates on tasks and expectations to maintain floor coverage and meet customer needs
• Provide additional store support to including but not limited to:
• Maintain superb customer service standards
• Cash register and floor coverage
• Payroll processing / time approval
• Loading and unloading material for deliveries and shipment via forklift, pallet jack, dolly and other means
• Filling propane tanks
• Work will be done inside and out of the facility
• Other duties as assigned by management

Preferred Skills:

• High school diploma/GED
• Previous retail management experience, preferably in a hardware or construction environment
• Ability to work a variety of hours/days to oversee store operations
• Ability to professionally communicate with internal and external publics
• Ability to maintain concentration with frequent time pressure and interruptions
• Ability to process information and merchandise through paperwork, computer systems, POS, and WASP systems
• Ability to learn new technology and systems as our business continues to grow
• Ability to adapt to changing business needs
• Safety focused
• Physically able to regularly lift, move, and carry material generally weighing 0-50 pounds
• Physically able to reach, squat, kneel, climb, push, pull, operate forklifts, and climb ladders
• Valid driver's license
• Flexibility & willingness to assist in areas of need
