Essential Functions Statements
• Inspect mechanical components of the KC-135 to identify problems.
• Maintain and repair all systems of the KC-135 to include:
• Perform daily aircraft inspections, launch/recover, refuel / defuel, debrief aircrew, troubleshoot and repair discrepancies, jack aircraft, tow, operate all required GSE (Ground Support Equipment).
• Follow all safety directives, maintenance procedures, and FAA regulations Remain current on all required training and certifications
• Accurately record aircraft maintenance in the automated maintenance records system.
• Flight-line driving

Work Environment
This job operates within flight line maintenance parameters. This role routinely carried outdoors and uses standard equipment such as electronic and pneumatic test equipment, hand tools, ground power units for aircraft, integrated maintenance information systems, lifts, metal cutters, power drills, rivet tools, portable computing devices, and protective headsets/ear plugs.
Physical Demands
This is a largely physical role; however, some physical abilities may be required.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position with typical working hours of Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Hours and work shifts may change by department and business needs. There is significant travel required to successfully carry out assigned maintenance tasks and air operations.

Required Education, Experience, and Certificates
Education: High school diploma or equivalent
Experience: 6 years working with the Heavy Transport Acft., Fighter Acft. or Aerial Refueling Acft, aircraft towing, aircraft jacking, and hazardous material use, storage, and disposal.
Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite products (specifically Word and Excel)
Certificates and Licenses:
A&P, must be able to obtain an FAA A&P license within 2 years of employment start date.
Must be able to accomplish all duties with little or no assistance. Must have good command of the English language; oral and written.
Preferred Education, Experience, and Certificates
Experience: 10 years of hands-on aircraft maintenance, working with government contractors, the Military, or commercial airlines. Certificates and Licenses: A&P, IA, engine run qualified, and an ASTM NCATT Aircraft Electronic Technician Certificate.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
Must be able to accomplish all duties with little or no assistance.
Must have good command of the English language; oral and written.
Work Authorization/Security Clearance
The employee must be a US citizen.
Secret Security Clearance or the ability to obtain within 1 year of employment start date is preferred, but not required.
