JOB DESCRIPTION
Casa Grande Union High School- Casa Grande, Arizona
Responsibilities: Provide athletic training services including the prevention, care and rehabilitation of injuries which occur during AIA sanctioned sporting events including games and practice. The athletic trainer may use therapeutic modalities to prevent and rehabilitate injuries. They will be responsible for assisting in the operation of the athletic training training room.
Attends scheduled team practices and games including but not limited to all home events for sports and must be able to travel with varsity football to away games. Reports to school athletic director and AT Direct Sports Medicine. Athletic trainer will work under the direction of a physician. Communicates with parents and athletes about injuries. Communicate with team physician about injuries, referrals, and home varsity football games. Creates injury reports and documentation. Documents ALL concussions sustained using the SCAT6 form
Other:
Athletic trainer will be required to keep medical documentation for all injuries and follow HIPAA requirements. Will be required to stand for varying lengths of time and walk/run moderate distances to perform work
