We are looking for an athletic trainer to join our exceptional sports medicine team in providing specialized, nonoperative treatment of musculoskeletal care and sport-related concussion! An athletic trainer will be a great complement to our current team!
Overview:
Provide services in regards to prevention, recognition, evaluation, immediate care and rehabilitation for all active individuals and sports related injuries for the local sports teams partnering with Mercy. Overall goal is to maximize safe return to activity. The individual will also demonstrate professional development and responsibility within the field of athletic training.
Duties will include: performing vestibular ocular motor screening (VOMS) for concussion, creating and teaching home exercise programs, management of braces and splints for patients, setting up and assisting with ultrasound-guided injections and other procedures, rooming patients, and participating in the overall care experience.
