Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or higher in athletic training
CPR Certification (We can certify/renew)
Must be eligible for AZ Athletic Training License
Responsibilities
The athletic trainer may use therapeutic modalities to prevent and rehabilitate injuries
They will be responsible for assisting in the operation of the athletic training training room
Attends scheduled team practices and games including but not limited to all home events for sports and must be able to travel with varsity football to away games
Reports to school athletic director and AT Direct Sports Medicine
Athletic trainer will work under the direction of a physician
Communicates with parents and athletes about injuries
Communicate with team physician about injuries, referrals, and home varsity football games
Creates injury reports and documentation
Documents ALL concussions sustained using the SCAT6 form
Athletic trainer will be required to keep medical documentation for all injuries and follow HIPAA requirements
Will be required to stand for varying lengths of time and walk/run moderate distances to perform work
Sets up water for games and if requested for practice
30-40 hours a week
