Certified Athletic Trainer Summary:
The role of the Certified Athletic Trainer is to assist in increasing patient throughput by providing pre- and post-operative care for non-complex injuries. The ATC educational competencies are focused on the musculoskeletal evaluation and diagnosis thus providing a high level of expertise for patient education and care.
Certified Athletic Trainer Requirements:
· Completion of the Board of Certification for Athletic Trainers examination.
· Must be NATA BOC certified.
· Must have an active WA Athletic Trainer license or the ability to obtain one prior to hire.
· Must have an active BLS Certification or the ability to obtain one within 90 days of hire.
