    Personal Trainer Job Duties & Responsibilities:

    • Meets with and assesses members for fitness needs and provides a safe and effective class and/or program to meet those needs.
    • Leads individual through a personalized workout routine with appropriate verbal instructions and clear patterns of movement according to accepted fitness standards and practices.
    • Provides education for participants regarding exercise technique/execution, exercise principles, nutrition, and behavior change as allowed within their certification’s scope of practice.
    • Arrives early to inspect workout equipment for safety and/or issues.
    • Assists in the overall retention and satisfaction of members through exceptional customer service.
    • Provides updates to Front Desk regarding schedule changes.
    • Proactively monitors NS Scheduling System.
    • Abides by all policies within the Wellness Department.
    • Notifies management of any safety concerns or equipment damage.
    • Maintains a positive and cheerful attitude with staff, peers, and program participants.
    • Acts as a role model and exemplifies a healthy professional attitude.
    • Provides necessary modifications and spotting as needed.
    • Enforces youth member procedures and all gym rules and policies.
    • Complies with departmental uniform and grooming standards.
    • Works effectively as a team with all departmental employees.
    • Works variety of shifts, as needed.

    Personal Trainer Experience & Qualifications:

    • Possesses certification from an accepted accredited personal training as:  NASM, ACE, ACSM, NSCA.
    • 1 year of personal training experience required.
    • Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and exercise science.
    • Ability to develop tailored fitness programs according to individual needs and goals.

    Personal Trainer Skills & Knowledge:

    • Excellent communication skills to effectively instruct and motivate clients.
    • Ability to adapt training plans based on client progress and requirements.
    • Exceptional customer service skills and a positive, motivating attitude.
    • Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a fitness environment.

    Personal Trainer Physical Requirements:

    • Physical fitness and the ability to demonstrate various exercises.
    • Capability to assist and demonstrate the use of fitness equipment.
    • Stamina to work with clients for extended periods.
    • Ability to lift and move exercise equipment if necessary.
    • Mobility to assist clients with proper form and technique.
