    What you’ll do

    You will be responsible for performing various duties in support of the Research & Library Services function. You will:
    • Promptly respond to routine research requests, including requests for academic articles, legal cases and dockets, analyst reports, and company financials, using Capital IQ, LexisNexis, Westlaw, Bloomberg, and other databases.
    • Work with Research teammates and/or Client Services staff to complete research assignments to support requests that range from brief and easy to extensive and complex.
    • Conduct copyright review.
    • Perform basic editorial tasks such as creating citations and footnotes.
    • Order books and articles as needed.
    • Organize library materials. Catalog books using Library of Congress cataloging. Keep bookshelves organized and maintain book check out and return system. Locate missing books.
    • Index articles and book chapters using SharePoint database (eLibrary).
    • Manage passwords for research resources. Maintain spreadsheet of users and passwords. Contact database vendors to add and delete users.
    • Coordinate effort to simplify access through Single Sign On (SSO).
    • With Research teammates, train new users.
    • Track usage. Collect and organize information on questions asked and databases used. Support Director in creation of an annual report.
    • Assist with budget preparation and cost tracking.
    • Support Director in meetings and trainings; take and organize notes. Track follow-up.
    • Under Director’s supervision, assist Client Services as needed to review documents. Extract and synthesize information.
    • Perform assigned tasks thoroughly and accurately.
      Participate in firm building.
    What you’ll bring to the table
    • Master’s in Library Science from an ALA-accredited program required.
    • At least one year of experience working in an academic or corporate library or a corporate environment (professional services firm or a law firm).
    • Coursework in economics, business, accounting, or finance a plus.
    • Ability to follow directions and ask appropriate questions for clarification.
    • Ability to manage short deadlines, work well under pressure, and prioritize multiple tasks.
    • Interest in developing research skills.
    • Must be thorough and detail-oriented.
    • Strong analytical and communication skills, including writing skills.
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
    • Ability to function well in a dynamic client services environment.
    • Ability to comprehend complex assignments with guidance.
    • Ability to be resourceful and creative in approaching work-related challenges.
    • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
    • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff.
