Plans and directs training of student athletes, and assesses individuals' abilities and skill level to determine appropriate team position. Assists players in reaching highest athletic potential possible through athletic training and leadership skills. The Osseo-Fairchild School District is actively seeking a dynamic and dedicated head varsity football coach to lead our football program. We are looking for an individual who can inspire excellence and foster a culture of success among our student athletes. The ideal candidate will be passionate about football and possess the ability to instill values of commitment, discipline, and teamwork in our players.
Qualifications: Candidates must demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of football, with prior coaching experience at the high school level. Exceptional communication skills are essential for effectively engaging with student athletes, assistant coaches, parents, and administration. While not mandatory, preference will be given to candidates with previous head coaching experience at the high school level and a background in collegiate-level play. The ability to work collaboratively within a team environment is paramount.
Preferred candidates will exhibit a genuine passion for mentoring student athletes and a sincere interest in their development. They should be enthusiastic about contributing positively to our school's culture. Candidates must either possess a certified teaching license or be willing to fulfill the WIAA requirements for coaching without licensure. Additionally, certification or a commitment to obtaining certification in First Aid and CPR/AED is required.
