Head Coach (Major Sport) jobs in New Brunswick, NJ

Rutgers University Women’s Rugby Club is seeking a passionate and knowledgeable head coach to join our team beginning in September 2024. We are a Division II club team that competes in the Tri-State Rugby conference. In the fall, our 15s season runs from September to early November. In the spring, our 7s season runs from the end of January/beginning of February until mid/late April.

Coach Duties and Responsibilities

• Lead practice alongside our assistant coach. 2 practices per week (Tuesdays and Thursdays) and 1 game per weekend
• Monitor and evaluate the performance of players, providing instruction and feedback
• Ensure safety of players at all times
• Promote sportsmanship, teamwork, and respect

Coach Requirements and Qualifications

• World Rugby Level 1 Coach Certification (Level 2 preferred)
• At least 2 years coaching experience with youth and/or collegiate athletes
• Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of rugby rules and regulations
• Able to attend practices during the week and games on weekends

Compensation: $1,000-1,500 stipend for the year.
