QUALIFICATIONS
Commitment to Los Alamitos Unified School District’s mission, vision, and priority goals.
Previous successful competitive cheer coaching at elite levels.
Comprehensive knowledge of safety, stunting, tumbling, and current cheer techniques.
Develop and foster positive working relationships with students, parents, staff, and community.
Support policies and procedures set forth by the program advisor.
Ability to work with assigned Team Parents on JV & Varsity cheer to implement program and team goals.
Ability to conduct well planned practices to produce safe and successful routines.
Ability to adapt and revise routines, performances, and game material throughout the season.
Monitor the continuity and relationship between the Junior Varsity and Varsity cheerleaders and coaches.
Successfully prepare a team to cheer at games and performances in unison with the song program.
Train athletes to compete in the advanced D1 Category at NHSCC, other competitions, and or CIF events.
Be knowledgeable of NFHS and all CIF rules and regulations.
COMMITMENT SPECIFICATIONS
Attend a UCA Summer Cheer Camp (End of June) and UCA Orlando Nationals in February.
Facilitate team practice three days a week August – June. (Includes Winter Recess)
Attend Football and Basketball games as assigned by the Advisor.
Attend all program events/fundraisers as assigned by the Advisor.
Communicate all equipment, supply, or facility concerns/needs.
Schedule and facilitate outside trainers, choreographers, DJ’s, prop manufacturers, etc.

SALARY AND BENEFITS
Coaching Stipend - $3,476 paid three times a year.
