Head Coach (Minor Sport) oversees all activities of a minor athletic team. Plans and directs training of student athletes, and assesses individuals' abilities and skill level to determine appropriate team position. Being a Head Coach (Minor Sport) analyzes opposition team performance and capabilities and determines game strategy. Assists players in reaching highest athletic potential possible through athletic training and leadership skills. Additionally, Head Coach (Minor Sport) must be familiar with NCAA rules and regulations. Requires a bachelor's degree in the related area. Typically reports to a institutional officer. The Kiona-Benton City School District is seeking qualified applicants to assume the responsibility for heading the Middle School wrestling program.
GOALS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Carry out the objectives of the sports program as outlined by the Athletic Director.
2. Fulfill administrative, program coordination, and developmental duties and responsibilities.
3. Instruct participants in individual, group, and team techniques, tactics, and physical training necessary for the realization of success.
4. Implement teaching and coaching philosophies consistent with the Kiona-Benton City School District and Washington Interscholastic Activities Association mission statements.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Possess current First Aid/CPR cards and be versed in related preventative health and training standards.
2. Meet and maintain coaching standards as determined by the Kiona-Benton City School District and the Washington Interscholastic Activities Association.
3. High School Diploma or GED.

Two (2) hours per day/ 5 days per week
