Assists players in reaching highest athletic potential possible through athletic training and leadership skills. ● Develop and implement a comprehensive training program that focuses on skill development, strategy, and teamwork.
● Plan and organize practices, ensuring they are engaging, challenging, and safe for all players.
● Create a positive and supportive team culture, fostering a sense of unity and sportsmanship among athletes.
● Provide individualized coaching and feedback to help players enhance their skills and reach their full potential.
● Attend all team games and tournaments, both home and away, and lead the team during competitions.
● Collaborate with the athletic department to ensure compliance with all league and school policies.
● Foster strong communication with players, parents, and school administrators to keep them informed about team activities and progress.
● Promote academic success and personal growth among student-athletes, emphasizing the importance of balancing sports and academics.
Qualifications:
● Previous coaching experience at the high school or club level.
● College-level playing experience in volleyball is highly desirable.
● Strong knowledge of the rules, strategies, and techniques of volleyball.
● Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills to motivate and connect with student-athletes.
● Ability to create a positive and inclusive team environment.
● Effective communication skills with players, parents, and school staff.
● Availability to attend all practices, games, and tournaments, including some weekends.
