Skyline High School Head Football Coach - Licensed Educator or Volunteer Coach with a Nominal Stipend
**Coaching assignment is for the 2024-25 school year**
***Candidates who are applying for both the coaching and teaching position
(Job# 16698) should complete the application under the Licensed Educator title. This application is for those applying ONLY for the Head Football VOLUNTEER Coach Position.
- For Volunteer with a nominal stipend: Must have a coaching endorsement or be willing to obtain one.
- Football coaching experience required and must be documented on application or resume in order to be considered.
- Applicant will be responsible for directing a competitive football program and meeting all UHSAA requirements for the program.
- Applicant must be able to build a positive working relationship with students, school staff, administration, parents, and the community.
- Candidate must have the ability to continue a program with strong traditions and have the skills necessary to work with an involved community.
- Applicant must be able to coordinate team selection/tryouts
- Applicant must be able to Coordinate and run safe and effective practices, caring for the needs of the athletes.
- Applicant must be able to work, communicate, collaborate effectively with the athletes, staff, parents, administration and support staff in support of the school’s vision for the team.
- Applicant must be able to maintain a positive image for the school, team, and community.
- Applicant will engage in school and community events
- Applicant will support and motivate student athletes to do their best in academic studies.
- Applicant will provide individual instruction/guidance for student athletes in a constructive manner.
- Applicant must be able to adhere to UHSAA and NFHS safety guidelines, rules and regulations of the sport/activity
- Applicant will manage, plan and budget resources in conformity to Granite School District policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Applicant must manage, plan and provide fundraising opportunities for team and individual costs associated with a football team.
- Applicant will oversee local and extended/out of state trips and events that are beneficial to the team and the school
- Applicant will be responsible to maintain team equipment and facilities, order uniforms and gear.
- Applicant will participate in the hiring and instructing of assistant coaches
- Applicant will be responsible to develop sport-specific skills in athletes.
-High school diploma or equivalent - must be submitted upon hire
- All coaches MUST complete the online Concussion Training and bring in printed certificate prior to serving as a coach. The web address for this training is https://nfhslearn.com/courses
- All coaches must undergo and clear a criminal background check prior to serving in a coaching position.
