Head Nurse - CCU directs nursing service activities for assigned critical/coronary care unit patients. Delegates responsibilities to auxiliary and critical care unit staff nurses; supervises preparation and maintenance of critical care unit patient clinical records, and writes reports on critical care unit staff performance and services rendered. Being a Head Nurse - CCU maintains pre-set inventory standards for solutions, supplies, medicines and equipment, and keeps track of narcotics. Requires a bachelor's degree in nursing. Additionally, Head Nurse - CCU typically requires Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS). Requires Registered Nurse (RN). Typically reports to a director. The Head Nurse - CCU manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Head Nurse - CCU typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1-3 years supervisory experience may be required. Job Summary for LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse)
Nurse Connection Staffing is currently seeking Amsterdam based licensed LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) to fill supplemental staffing needs of business partners throughout the greater Capital Region and surrounding areas (Amsterdam, Albany, Saratoga, Schenectady, to include Catskills). The ideal candidate will hold a valid NYS Licensed Practical Nurse License and have 1 year of full-time experience working in Long Term Care or Assisted Living setting within the past 3 years.
Qualifications / Requirements of the LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse)
- Must hold a valid NYS Licensed Practical Nurse License and CPR Certification
- Long Term Care / Assisted Living assignments will require having 1 year of full-time experience working in LTC setting within the past 3 years.
- To work as a Licensed Practical Nurse in one of our specialty areas you must meet client/site specific requirements.
- Current medical documentation to include physical and PPD within the past year and proof of MMRs (immunizations or Titers)
