Head Nurse - Industrial directs nursing service activities in an industrial setting. Provides care to patients with emergency industrial accidents and surgery outpatients. Being a Head Nurse - Industrial plans and conducts training programs to promote employee health and safety in the workplace. Delegates responsibilities to auxiliary and industrial staff nurses. Additionally, Head Nurse - Industrial maintains pre-set inventory standards for solutions, supplies, medicines and equipment, and keeps track of narcotics. Requires a bachelor's degree in nursing. Requires Registered Nurse (RN). Typically reports to a director. The Head Nurse - Industrial manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Head Nurse - Industrial typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1-3 years supervisory experience may be required.     We are currently seeking a Laborer to performs various labor intensive tasks in an industrial setting under the direction of a supervisor or foreman. May operate a variety of hand and power tools. May clean and prepare sites, dig trenches, set braces to support the sides of excavations, erect scaffolding, clean up rubble and debris and remove waste materials. May assist other craft workers.This is accomplished by performing the following essential duties and responsibilities. Other duties may be assigned.

    Responsibilities

    • Perform a variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labor.
    • Shovel bituminous concrete (asphalt) or other material into construction area.
    • Assist in patching asphalt with hot and cold mix. Excavate and fills trenches and ditches.
    • Maintain a clean job site: pick up all tools and equipment and secure job site each day in order to eliminate potential hazards.
    • Material handling and storage.
    • Load and unload trucks and haul and hoist materials.
    • Ensure that proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed. Bring problems to the attention of the Foreman or Safety personnel.
    • Some knowledge of proper use of equipment, materials and supplies used in an industrial setting.
    • Some knowledge of first aid and applicable safety precautions.
    • Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule.
    • Ability to lift heavy objects, walk and stand for long periods of time and perform strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions.
    • Ability to communicate orally and in writing.
    • Ability to use equipment and tools properly and safely.
    • Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions.
    • Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency.

    Language Skills - Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.     Mathematical Skills - Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

    Reasoning Ability -Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

    Certificates, Licenses, Registrations - Depending on the job site, certain certificates or licenses may be required.

    Other Qualifications - It may be necessary to travel or commute for this position.
