SUMMARY
The Operations Manager will play a pivotal role in overseeing and optimizing our daily operations in the oil and gas sector. This position requires a seasoned professional with a comprehensive understanding of industry best practices, regulatory compliance, and a proven track record of successfully managing operational teams. The ideal candidate will be adept at strategic planning, problem-solving, and fostering a culture of safety and efficiency.
Operational Oversight:
Lead and manage day-to-day operations, ensuring seamless coordination between various departments.
Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and best practices to enhance efficiency and productivity.
Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
Safety and Compliance:
Establish and enforce safety protocols to ensure a secure working environment for all employees.
Stay abreast of industry regulations and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal standards.
Conduct regular safety audits and training sessions to promote a strong safety culture.
Team Leadership:
Provide strong leadership and direction to operational teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
Recruit, train, and mentor staff, promoting professional development and succession planning.
Effectively manage staffing levels and resource allocation to meet operational demands.
Financial Management:
Collaborate with the finance department to develop and manage operational budgets.
Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategies to optimize operational expenses.
Work closely with the executive team to align operational goals with overall business objectives.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
· Must have proven experience in a Senior Operational role within the Oil & Gas, Chemicals, Emergency Response OR similar industry.
· Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field, advanced degree or certification in Operations Management a plus, OR a combination of education experience.
· Must have strong leadership and managerial skills with the ability to manage teams of diverse personalities.
· Must have strong leadership and interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to motivate and inspire teams.
· Must have in-depth knowledge of industry regulations, safety standards, and best practices.
· MUST be able to multi-task and manage multiple projects at once.
· Must have excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with a strategic mindset, as well as effective communication skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally within the organization.
· Must be willing to travel to emergency locations on relatively short notice
