Industrial Engineer Position
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Industrial Engineer is responsible for the project management of Six Sigma process improvements and facility layout. This position will devise efficient ways to use staff, machines, materials, and information to better provide services to the client(s).
1. Planning utilization of facilities, equipment, materials, and personnel to improve efficiency of operations.
2. Studies functional statements, organizational charts and project information to determine functions and responsibilities of workers and work units and to identify areas of duplication.
3. Establishes work measurement programs and analyzes work samples to develop standards for labor utilization.
4. Recommends methods for improving worker efficiency and reducing waste of materials and utilities, such as restructuring job duties, reorganizing work flow, relocating work stations and equipment, and purchase of equipment.
5. Confers with management and engineering team to implement plans and salary administration, job evaluation and recommendations and develop management systems for cost and analysis, financial planning and wages.
6. Enact quality control procedures to resolve productivity flow problems or minimize costs.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering with 3 years experience working experience, excluding internships.
2. Experience utilizing Lean Six Sigma process and tools to solve logistics problems.
3. Proficient in all Microsoft Office Products, especially Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, solver, etc).
4. Excellent data and statistical analysis skills.
5. Experience with warehouse management, ERP, labor/time tracking, time & motion study, and AutoCAD software
6. Strong interpersonal skills regarding interface with employees and client.
7. Experience with DMAIC is helpful.
