Head Nurse plans and implements the overall nursing policies, procedures, and services for a unit. Maintains nursing staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training clinical staff. Being a Head Nurse ensures that nurses are current in competencies, assessments, licensure, certifications, and other annual training. May provide direct patient care and is responsible for assessing, planning, and evaluating patients. Additionally, Head Nurse requires a bachelor's degree in nursing. Typically requires Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS). Requires Registered Nurse (RN). Typically reports to a director. The Head Nurse manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Are you seeking employment with daytime hours? UW Oshkosh Head Start is hiring Center Aides for our Appleton, Oshkosh, Menasha, Seymour and Shawano locations for the 2023-2024 school year. Center Aides collaborate with full-time teachers and teacher assistants to support 16-18 children's school readiness. Center Aides will also assist with center responsibilities to maintain a safe and sanitary environment.
SIGN ON BONUS INCLUDED:
Applicants hired into this position will receive a $300.00 to$600.00 bonus after 90 days of employment and an additional $100.00 to $200.00 per month thereafter, paid through the Childcare Counts Stabilization Payment Program.
UW Oshkosh pursued the recently released, Child Care Counts: Stabilization Payment Program from Wisconsin Department of Children and Families (DCF), which will provide additional payments to licensed childcare programs specifically to address increasing access to high-quality care and funding workforce recruitment and retention.
Payments will be determined based on ongoing funding but will be:
Monthly payments will continue as long as additional funding is available (At least through June of 2025). Monthly amounts are established based on sites’ Young Star Rating and program budget.
