Being a Head Nurse ensures that nurses are current in competencies, assessments, licensure, certifications, and other annual training. May provide direct patient care and is responsible for assessing, planning, and evaluating patients. Additionally, Head Nurse requires a bachelor's degree in nursing. Typically requires Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS). Requires Registered Nurse (RN). Typically reports to a director. The Head Nurse manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Overview:
Busy ENT practice seeking a skilled Audiologist to join our team. As an Audiologist, you will be responsible for diagnosing and treating patients with hearing and balance disorders. Your expertise in medical terminology, diagnostic evaluation, anatomy and physiology knowledge, and aseptic technique will be essential in providing high-quality care to our patients.
Responsibilities:
-Performing comprehensive pediatric and adult diagnostic hearing evaluations including audiometry, immittance testing, and OAEs
-Perform vestibular evaluations including VNG and BPPV assessment/treatment as well as counseling on home vestibular rehabilitation therapy
-Provide education for, prescribe, and fit hearing aids on adults and older adolescents
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on patients' needs and goal
-Hearing aid service/maintenance
-Opportunity for supervision of Au.D. students
- Administer hearing aids and assistive listening devices
- Perform minor procedures such as cerumen management and ear canal examinations
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care
- Stay up-to-date with advancements in audiology research and technology
Skills:
- Proficient in medical terminology related to audiology
- Strong diagnostic evaluation and hearing aid dispensing skills
- Knowledge of medical imaging techniques used in audiology
- In-depth understanding of human anatomy and physiology as it relates to hearing and balance
- Familiarity with aseptic technique to maintain a sterile environment during procedures
Requirements:
