Head Nurse jobs in Seattle, WA

Head Nurse plans and implements the overall nursing policies, procedures, and services for a unit. Maintains nursing staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training clinical staff. Being a Head Nurse ensures that nurses are current in competencies, assessments, licensure, certifications, and other annual training. May provide direct patient care and is responsible for assessing, planning, and evaluating patients. Additionally, Head Nurse requires a bachelor's degree in nursing. Typically requires Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS). Requires Registered Nurse (RN). Typically reports to a director. The Head Nurse manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Head Nurse typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1-3 years supervisory experience may be required. RN- Telephone Triage

  • Work from home as a telephone triage nurse using protocols. We answer after hours calls for over 2000 providers. We will provide a phone, computer, and resource books. Training can either be done in person in West Seattle or via zoom. Must live in one of the following states: Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, or South Carolina (for tax purposes). 

    We are looking for RN's with great communication skills, preferably with experience in ER, OB, Pediatrics, and/or telephone triage. Must be dependable. 

    Looking for somebody who will work every other weekend, 8 or 12 hour shifts, OR be willing to work every Saturday, 8 or 12 hour shifts. Other weekday evening or short morning shifts may be available on a per diem basis.
