May provide direct patient care and is responsible for assessing, planning, and evaluating patients. Additionally, Head Nurse - Nursing Home requires a bachelor's degree in nursing from an accredited school. Requires a valid state RN license. Typically reports to a top management. The Head Nurse - Nursing Home manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Direct Care
Education: Must have successfully completed an accredited practical nurse or registered nurse training program.
Experience: None required; on-the-job training provided.
Long-term care experience preferred.
Certificates & Licenses: Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as an LPN or RN in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. May work under a practice permit as allowed by law.
