Head Nurse - Obstetrics directs nursing service activities for assigned patients in the delivery room and birthing units. Delegates responsibilities to auxiliary and obstetrics staff nurses; supervises preparation and maintenance of obstetrics patient clinical records, and writes reports on obstetrics room staff performance and services rendered. Being a Head Nurse - Obstetrics maintains pre-set inventory standards for solutions, supplies, medicines and equipment, and keeps track of narcotics. Requires a bachelor's degree in nursing. Additionally, Head Nurse - Obstetrics requires Registered Nurse (RN). Typically reports to a director. The Head Nurse - Obstetrics manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. The Registered Nurse will provide occupational, primary, and emergency medical services to all project personnel. This will include providing occupational health and injury management advice, support, and direction to enable successful resolution of work injury and health related issues.
This is a full-time in-person Monday to Friday (7:00 am - 5:30 pm) role for one of our industrial client sites within the Port Arthur, TX area. Candidates must be local to the area and able to commute daily.
