Head Nurse - Obstetrics directs nursing service activities for assigned patients in the delivery room and birthing units. Delegates responsibilities to auxiliary and obstetrics staff nurses; supervises preparation and maintenance of obstetrics patient clinical records, and writes reports on obstetrics room staff performance and services rendered. Being a Head Nurse - Obstetrics maintains pre-set inventory standards for solutions, supplies, medicines and equipment, and keeps track of narcotics. Requires a bachelor's degree in nursing. Additionally, Head Nurse - Obstetrics requires Registered Nurse (RN). Typically reports to a director. The Head Nurse - Obstetrics manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Head Nurse - Obstetrics typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1-3 years supervisory experience may be required.   • Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a board certified or board eligible Obstetrics and Gynecology physician to join an outstanding OB/GYN program. The Obstetrics and Gynecology physician will provide direct patient care. This is an employed position with a competitive salary, moving allowance, a comprehensive benefits package and no state income tax.

    Position Highlights:

    • 35 physicians in department across Temple region; 4 OBGYN specialists as well as11 subspecialist physicians and 2 full time APPs at this location
    • Location has access to OBGYN Sub-specialist: MFM, REI, FPMRS, GynOnc and Pediatric & Adolescent Gynecology
    • 50/50 mix of OB and GYN
    • Opportunity to do Robotics
    • 20 to 24 patients in a full day on average
    • Opportunity to participate in lectures, grand rounds, research and quality improvement projects
    • Opportunity to work with OBGYN residents and medical students
    • Call schedule 1:10
