Head Nurse - Obstetrics directs nursing service activities for assigned patients in the delivery room and birthing units. Delegates responsibilities to auxiliary and obstetrics staff nurses; supervises preparation and maintenance of obstetrics patient clinical records, and writes reports on obstetrics room staff performance and services rendered. Being a Head Nurse - Obstetrics maintains pre-set inventory standards for solutions, supplies, medicines and equipment, and keeps track of narcotics. Requires a bachelor's degree in nursing. Additionally, Head Nurse - Obstetrics requires Registered Nurse (RN). Typically reports to a director. The Head Nurse - Obstetrics manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Summary: The Head Lifeguard at Daland Swim School leads our Red Cross Lifeguard Certification classes. They teach procedures on how to rescue and revive those that are experiencing a drowning, accident or medical emergency. The Head LG is responsible for coordinating classes, evaluating the performance of the students, and ensuring equipment is maintained.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Education/Experience: High school diploma or GED. Experience as a certified lifeguard and/or youth swim instructor is required.
Certificates and Licenses: CPR/First Aid certification required. We provide all needed training and offer the required certifications at our facility.
