Head Nurse - Occupational Health jobs in Charleston, SC

Head Nurse - Occupational Health directs nursing service activities for occupational health services. Develops and conducts training programs to promote employee safety in the workplace. Being a Head Nurse - Occupational Health conducts regular inspections of facilities and equipment to identify any health or safety hazards. Maintains records, investigates accidents and injuries, prepares appropriate reports for OSHA, and ensures compliance with all occupational health, safety, and environmental rules and regulations. Additionally, Head Nurse - Occupational Health coordinates the procurement, review, and project management of contracts and service agreements with outside vendors. Requires a bachelor's degree in nursing. Requires Registered Nurse (RN). Typically reports to a director. The Head Nurse - Occupational Health manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Head Nurse - Occupational Health typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1-3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Job Summary and Qualifications

    Seeking a Registered Nurse for our practice who provides clinical expertise to ensure all patients receive high quality, efficient care.     What you will do in this role:


    You will manage efficient flow of patients including screening, preparation for exam, providing general nursing care, and arranging or testing and admissions

    You will instruct patients and families regarding medications and treatment instructions

    You will maintain and review patients’ records including posting tests and examination results

    You will administer medications in accordance with physician orders

    You will check rooms daily for necessary supplies

    You will respond to and refer incoming telephone calls (may include phone triage when needed)


    What Qualifications you will need:

    Graduation from an accredited school of registered nursing is required

    1-3 years experience as a registered nurse is preferred

    Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in accordance with state regulations
