Position Qualifications:
Education – Required: Licensed to practice professional nursing as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio.
Education – Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree
Minimum Experience: Minimum of two years acute injury care.
Preferred Experience: Previous experience in Occupational Health of related field.
Competencies Required: Excellent customer service skills. Ability to work independently to get task completed. Knowledge and skill necessary to provide care based on the physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety and related client needs appropriate to the age of the client served. Organized in approach to time and task. Able to address problems in order of priority and manage multiple demands and priorities. Able to analyze a situation and recommend a plan of action.
Physical Demands: Light work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly (constantly: activity or condition exists 2/3 or more of the time) to move objects. Physical demand requirements are in excess of those for Sedentary Work. Even though the weight lifted may be only a negligible amount, a job should be rated Light Work (1) when it requires walking or standing to a significant degree; or (2) when it requires sitting most of the time, but entails pushing and/or pulling of arm or leg controls, and/or (3) when the job requires working at a production rate pace entailing the constant pushing and/or pulling of materials even though the weight of those materials is negligible. NOTE: The constant stress and strain of maintaining a production rate pace, especially in an industrial setting, can be and is physically demanding for a working even though the amount of force exerted is negligible. The position requires the successful completion of a medical examination after offer of hire has been made. The position requires the employee to be free of all unlawful substances and alcohol.
Work Environment: Office environment. Occasional unpleasant and/or stressful work related situations. The position may receive exposure to bloodborne pathogens.
Work Schedule: Hospital business hours, may vary depending on department needs. Requires occasional attendance at meetings at various times of the day and evening. Must be willing to work according to hospital needs.
