Head Nurse - Occupational Health directs nursing service activities for occupational health services. Develops and conducts training programs to promote employee safety in the workplace. Being a Head Nurse - Occupational Health conducts regular inspections of facilities and equipment to identify any health or safety hazards. Maintains records, investigates accidents and injuries, prepares appropriate reports for OSHA, and ensures compliance with all occupational health, safety, and environmental rules and regulations. Additionally, Head Nurse - Occupational Health coordinates the procurement, review, and project management of contracts and service agreements with outside vendors. This position is responsible for the evaluation, planning, administration and supervision of Occupational Therapy treatment in accordance with physician referral, state and local organizational standards, regulatory agencies, and established departmental policies and procedures. As an OT in our adult inpatient 20 bed Behavioral Health department, you will work with individuals who are struggling with mental health issues, such as depression, anxiety, PTSD, addiction, and more. This OT position includes facilitation of therapeutic assessments, group activities, 1:1 patient sessions, and working closely with an interdisciplinary team of psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, nurse case managers, nurses, and techs. You will provide therapeutic interventions that focus on improving patients ability to develop and enhance independent living skills and coping skills. Group sessions include self-esteem, self-awareness, stress management, nutrition/cooking group, assertive communication, productive activities, and pet therapy. Flexibility to amend the existing OT program to reflect your interests and specialties is open to applicants discretion. Experience with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is encouraged.

Current license from state of practice. BLS certification required.
