Head Nurse - Occupational Health directs nursing service activities for occupational health services. Develops and conducts training programs to promote employee safety in the workplace. Being a Head Nurse - Occupational Health conducts regular inspections of facilities and equipment to identify any health or safety hazards. Maintains records, investigates accidents and injuries, prepares appropriate reports for OSHA, and ensures compliance with all occupational health, safety, and environmental rules and regulations. Additionally, Head Nurse - Occupational Health coordinates the procurement, review, and project management of contracts and service agreements with outside vendors. Requires a bachelor's degree in nursing. Requires Registered Nurse (RN). Typically reports to a director. The Head Nurse - Occupational Health manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Head Nurse - Occupational Health typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1-3 years supervisory experience may be required.     We are currently looking for a Home Health Aide to join our team. This position would be responsible for providing personal care services to patients in their home or alternate community setting in Essex County.

    Responsibilities

  • Supports organization’s mission by striving for excellence in all aspects of their job with a focus on positive interpersonal relationship with co-workers
  • Provides personal care services as established in the plan of care
  • Assists patients with mobilization and rehabilitation
  • Communicates with patients and their families on a regular basis
  • Submits required documentation as per agency policy and procedures
  • Ensures compliance of agency infection control and safety policies
  • Adheres to the organization’s policy in regards to absenteeism and appearance
  • Omission of specific duties does not exclude them from this position if the work is similar, related or a logical assignment for this position
  • Qualifications

  • Home Health Aide certification required
  • High School Diploma/GED preferred
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Car and a valid driver’s license
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Working Conditions/Physical Demand: Working indoors with client/customer contact; use of specific equipment as braces, bedpan, crutches, electrical bed, hoyer lift, personal automobile, walker, wheelchair, household appliances, vacuum cleaner etc.
