| Position Summary
| Advancia Aeronautics is hiring one Nurse to support Northern Navajo Medical Center located in Shiprock, New Mexico. Position contingent upon award of contract, government acceptance of candidate, and positive adjudication of government investigation.
| Essential Duties and Responsibilities
| · Observes and assesses patient's health status and critically ill emergency patients by physical assessment and examination. · Initiates treatments, medications, emergency and resuscitative measures. · Administers therapeutic measure as prescribed by the anesthesiologist, physician and surgeon. · Operates and monitors specialized equipment in operating room or same day surgery. · Collaborates with members of the surgical and multidisciplinary teams. · When called in for emergency surgeries after hours, holidays or weekends, functions as a team leader and supervises movements and action of other team members. Total independence is exercised and accountability is at maximum.
| Education and Experience
| · Must have a minimum of 36 months nursing experience and 12 months as an Operating Room Nurse · Must have a current, valid, unrestricted license in a state, District of Columbia, the commonwealth of Puerto Rico or a Territory of the United States · Must have current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certificates and must remain current for the duration of the contract · Must have a valid state driver’s license · Must read, understand, speak and write English to effectively communicate with patients and other health care workers
