Head Nurse - Operating Room directs nursing service activities for assigned patients in the operating room. Delegates responsibilities to auxiliary and operating room staff nurses. Being a Head Nurse - Operating Room supervises preparation and maintenance of patient clinical records and writes reports on operating room staff performance and services rendered. Maintains pre-set inventory standards for solutions, supplies, medicines and equipment, and keeps track of narcotics. Additionally, Head Nurse - Operating Room requires a bachelor's degree in nursing. Typically requires Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS). Requires Registered Nurse (RN). AS A REGISTERED NURSE (RN), you’ll be responsible for delivering care to patients utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation; and effectively interacting with patients, significant others, and other health care team members while maintaining standards of professional nursing.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Have a current Pennsylvania Registered Nurse License or Temporary Practice Permit
Previous critical care or cardiovasculas experience preferred
Have Healthcare Provider CPR within 6 months of start date in the position
Have ACLS and Comprehensive Crisis Management certification within 12 months of start date in the position
Have ability to work flexible hours including shift, weekends, holidays, etc.
Have ability to pass Criminal Background Check
Have or the ability to obtain a Specialty Nursing Certificate within 3 years of hire date, Required
