Head Nurse - Quality Improvement - Home Care develops and implements various activities to improve overall quality of organization. Participates in and serves as a resource to quality improvement committees. Being a Head Nurse - Quality Improvement - Home Care tracks and analyzes trends and outcome reports and advises management on areas to improve upon. May be responsible to ensure all institute or government regulations are adhered to. Additionally, Head Nurse - Quality Improvement - Home Care requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Head Nurse - Quality Improvement - Home Care supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. Thorough knowledge of department processes.     Home Health Nurses wanted for the Amarillo area. Schedules are flexible.

    Responsibilities
    • Execute physician prescribed plans of care.
    • Complete compliant documentation of the care provided in the system of record.
    • Manage and administer prescribed medication, treatment, and therapies.
    • Perform various activities associated with daily living.
    • Monitor for changes in the patient’s condition such as weight loss/gain, self-care abilities, and indicators of disease progression.
    • Communicate with family members, physicians, case managers, and other prescribed individuals regarding the health of the patients.
    • Provide education and training to the patient, their family, and/or the Home Health Aide.
    • Work with patients to be done one-on-one in the patients home to provide for a comfortable environment.
    • Collaborate with and supervise Certified Nursing Assistants and Personal Care Attendants.
    • Perform other personal care services as necessary to meet the patient’s needs.


    Minimum Qualifactions
    • Education, licensing, and certification: graduate of an accredited college or university, Associate or Baccalaureate School of Nursing
    • Current State or Compact License as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse.
    • Current CPR certification with AED
    • Willing to get TB tested.
    • Maintain required insurance.
    • Good interpersonal skills
    • Must have dependable transportation and be willing to commute to the patient’s home.


    Preferred Qualifications
    • 1 years of experience as an RN/LPN in a clinical or home health setting.

    $29 - $39 an hour
