Duties

• Serve as an advisor and consultant to the Commander and Executive Officer.
• Recommend policy and system changes.
• Act as the program manager and subject-matter expert (SME) for virtual communities, and business collaboration for Naval Hospital Camp Pendleton and subordinate organizations.
• Serve as Vice Chairman and coordinator to the Quality Care Council.
• Serve as Department Head of Quality Management.
• Oversee the day-to-day use of the purchase cards assigned to cardholders.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• One-year trial/probationary period may be required.
• Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.
• A Personnel Security Investigation is required.
• One-year supervisory probationary period required. A one-year probationary period is required if the selectee has not previously met this requirement.
• Immunization screening is required. Hepatitis B immunization is required for all positions with direct patient contact. Applicants may be required to show proof of other immunizations depending on the type of position.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross. Advanced certification (e.g., ALS) does not supersede BLS.
• Applicants must be able to fulfill credentialing requirements and obtain and maintain appropriate/relevant clinical privileges.
• This position has been designated as mission essential, consistent with the criteria described in DoD Instruction (DoDI) 3020.42, “Defense Continuity Plan Development.
