Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Drywall Finisher to join our team. As a Drywall Finisher, you will be responsible for preparing and finishing drywall surfaces to ensure a smooth and seamless appearance. This is a hands-on role that requires attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
Duties:
- Measure, cut, and install drywall sheets to cover walls, ceilings, and other surfaces
- Apply joint compound and tape to seal joints between drywall panels
- Smooth out imperfections and create a seamless surface using trowels, sanders, and other tools
- Repair damaged drywall by patching holes, cracks, or water damage
- Install corner beads and trim around windows and doors
- Apply texture or decorative finishes to drywall surfaces as needed
- Clean and maintain tools and equipment used in the drywall finishing process
- Collaborate with other construction professionals to ensure quality workmanship
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Drywall Finisher or similar role in the construction industry
- Solid knowledge of drywall installation techniques and materials
- Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and sanding equipment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality work
- Ability to read schematics and blueprints for accurate installation
- Basic understanding of other construction trades such as carpentry or painting is a plus
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks and lift heavy materials if required
