Head Nurse - Quality Improvement - Home Care develops and implements various activities to improve overall quality of organization. Participates in and serves as a resource to quality improvement committees. Being a Head Nurse - Quality Improvement - Home Care tracks and analyzes trends and outcome reports and advises management on areas to improve upon. May be responsible to ensure all institute or government regulations are adhered to. Additionally, Head Nurse - Quality Improvement - Home Care requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Head Nurse - Quality Improvement - Home Care supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. Thorough knowledge of department processes.     Home Health Registered Nurse wanted in the New Braunfels, TX! Schedule is flexible! This is a opportunity to provide quality care to patients in the comfort of their homes!

    Responsibilities

    • Execute physician prescribed plans of care.
    • Complete compliant documentation of the care provided in the system of record.
    • Manage and administer prescribed medication, treatment, and therapies.
    • Conduct patient assessments in coordination of care plan.
    • Perform various activities associated with daily living.
    • Monitor for changes in the patient’s condition such as weight loss/gain, self-care abilities, and indicators of disease progression.
    • Communicate with family members, physicians, case managers, and other prescribed individuals regarding the health of the patients.

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Current State or Compact License as a Registered Nurse
    • Current CPR certification or equivalent
    • Maintain required insurance
    • Willing to provide TB testing
    • Good interpersonal skills
    • Hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
    • Must have dependable transportation and be willing to commute to the patient’s home.
    • Ability to provide basic medical management up to medically fragile end of life care.


    Preferred Qualifications

    • 1 years of experience as an RN in a clinical or home health setting.
