Home Improvement Sales

Jerry's Home Improvement is hiring great people to join our Sales team in Springfield. Sales Team Members support Jerry's Value Mission of providing World Class Service by actively selling to our customers and ensuring they are able to locate and purchase everything they need for their home improvement projects, and helping where help is needed.

The Job

As a Sales Team Member you have the opportunity to:

• Develop a long-term career with an established, employee-owned company

• Learn about home improvement projects and products to help your customers
• Regularly receive sales and customer service training to grow your selling skills

Sales Team Members work to:

• Seek out and greet all customers in the department
• Ask questions to understand the customers' project needs
• Offer guidance on what they may need to complete their project successfully
• Provide solutions and alternatives, such as special orders, for product we don't currently have available
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

A Sales Team Member requires:

• Courteous, Tactful, Diplomatic, Outgoing, and Friendly personality
• Desire to participate in a team-based atmosphere that maintains high standards
• Prior sales experience, Home Improvement Sales not required
• Able to deliver world-class customer service in a fast-paced retail environment
• Ability to regularly lift/push/pull/carry a minimum of 30-55 lbs.
• Ability to comfortably use a computer, mobile phone and radio
• Ability to stand/walk on concrete

Schedule

• Flexible schedules available
• Schedule may vary and can include opening, closing, and weekend shifts based on store needs

Compensation

• Pay-rate starting at $16.25/hr with immediate commission.
