A day in the life as a Head Teller

Working on our Rockland teller line will put you face-to-face with our members. In addition to providing support to the teller line, supervisory tasks are also included within the Head Teller role. As a first point of contact, you'll have the opportunity to develop relationships with the members and they will come to trust you. Head Tellers monitor Currency Transaction Reporting to ensure compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act. A Head Teller will take on advanced tasks such as balancing the branch each day, including the vault, ATM, and coin machines. As a Head Teller, you may assist with coverage at other area branches as needed. It's a great way to get to know co-workers you may otherwise never meet! The Head Teller position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, two years of teller experience, current knowledge of financial products/services and ability to engage members in discussing their financial needs. Demonstrated supervisory/leadership skills. Strong communication and accuracy skills. Positive/professional demeanor. Effective in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with PC and financial software systems. Able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.

Work Schedule and Benefits

As a Head Teller, you will work a 40-hour, full-time schedule that includes extended hours on Thursday and Friday, and a half-day every other Saturday. Here's a sample schedule:

Monday 7:30am - 4:30pm 8:30am - 5:00pm

Tuesday 7:30am - 5:00pm 8:30am - 5:00pm

Wednesday OFF 8:00am - 4:30pm

Thursday 7:30am - 4:00pm 10:00am - 6:30pm

Friday 8:00am - 6:00pm 7:30am - 4:00pm

Saturday 7:30am - 1:30pm OFF
