Job description; Ancillary Assistant Responsibilities
All duties may not apply to all Assistants depending on department hired for. May be used in multiple departments if needed.
Job responsibilities may include:
1. Make all beds on the floor. CNAs must strip beds when getting residents up where linen needs to be changed. Otherwise, linen needs to be changed minimal 2x weekly and as needed. Rotate linen change days in your building…certain floors on Monday and Thursday and other floors on Tuesday and Friday.
2. Pass ice water/snacks to all residents on the floor. Staff must ensure that no water pitcher is at bedside of thickened liquid and NPO residents. Signage must be posted over head of bed.
3. Assist with tray passing and pickup on their floor. Cannot feed residents.
4. Act as Smoke Monitors.
5. Assist with laundry delivery and other laundry duties for their floor as needed.
6. Assist as Receptionist as needed.
7. Organize and clean rooms, closets, bedside cabinets.
8. Assist with floor, furniture, kitchen and other cleaning and disinfecting.
9. Must work every other weekend.
10. May work full time (10 days/pay period) or part-time.
11. Must follow same work and facility rules, regulations and protocols as any other worker including weekends and holidays.
12. Uniform required (per facility choice). No jeans, leggings, shorts, sleeveless, etc.
13. Not to be scheduled overtime.
14. Any other nonclinical duties as assigned by Upper Management/ Department Managers.
15. After 30 days of working this the facility, you will be enrolled in a CNA traing progrom.
This position can be re-evaluated every 30 days whereas the position may be terminated or extended.
