Plans, directs and supervises the technical, and financial and clerical operations of the Respiratory Therapy, Wound Care Centers and Sleep Medicine Departments for the Garnet Health System. This includes Garnet Health Medical Center and Garnet Health Medical Center- Catskills.
The director provides direct support to the Administrator of Ancillary services for the development of Respiratory Services, Wound Care, Pulmonary Function and sleep testing strategic planning and related tactics that supports the development of the Garnet Health strategic plan.
Director is responsible for planning and coordinating the administrative aspects of the departments under his/her leadership. The director collaborates directly with the Administrator of Ancillary Services and other leaders in establishing and implementing goals for the Respiratory, Wound and sleep departments/division. Has overall responsibility and accountability for the clinical services provided within the division by the various departments. Supports and guides the supervisors to assure quality patient care and optimum operational outcomes. Routinely collaborates with other department heads/administrators to assure the delivery of safe patient care and the implementation of the goals for the Garnet Health System.
Recommends and directs the development and planning of new business ventures within the director’s scope of responsibility. Oversees all contracts and works with Administrator of Ancillary Services to ensure contracts are negotiated/renegotiated in a timely manner.
Exemplify high standards of service with all hospital consumers, patients, visitors, physicians, other department personnel and employees. Ensures all staff members maintain these standards in their interactions within the departments and hospital consumers.
