Job Title: Billing Services Team Lead

Job Type: Full-time

Location: Hybrid; requiring 2 to 3 days in the office.

Providence Anesthesiology Associates is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Billing Services Team Lead to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the daily work distribution of the Billing Services Team per assigned client in accordance with our standards, policies, and procedures. The Billing Services Team Lead will be responsible for directly training staff, auditing, coding, and reporting metrics on the front-end billing activities.

Responsibilities:

• Assigns the daily/weekly workload of the Billing Services Team based on production needs to ensure accuracy and timely filing of claims in accordance with the daily targeted goals.
• Reports billing effectiveness, shortfalls, and corrective action plan accomplishment to Billing Services Supervisor.
• Resolves daily claim issues such as concurrencies or data entry errors and ensures clean claim submission.       
• Oversees all data-entry activities and daily claims submission to clearinghouse. 
• Conducts training sessions for staff to ensure policies and procedures are followed.
• Reviews all documentation to ensure demographics information, insurance verification, and posted charges are captured accurately.
• Assists with daily submission of claims.
• Facilitates management of operation, personnel, and financial activities of Billing Services Team.
• Works closely with Billing Services Supervisor to ensure collaborative work environment is maintained.
• Supports key Billing Services Team initiatives and projects to support continuous process improvement, quality, productivity, and business growth.
• Monitors and reports team and individual metrics to Billing Services Supervisor.
• Ensures compliance with all Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) standards.
• Performs other duties as required or assigned within the scope of responsibility.

Requirements:

• High school diploma required; an associate degree preferred
• Three (3) years of experience in healthcare coding and/or billing is required
• One (1) year of lead/supervisory experience is preferred
• Strong knowledge of medical billing and coding procedures
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Goal-oriented and revenue-driven
• Highly accurate and self-motivated team player
